We wrapped up our 2009-2010 fiscal year last month, and we're thrilled to announce that it was the biggest year in Greengrants history. Since the first 28 grants we made back in 1993, Global Greengrants Fund has become the world's leader in providing small grants to grassroots environmental groups – making more than 800 grants in 86 countries totaling $5.4 million last year alone. Each grantee has its own unique story to tell. From mitigating climate change to protecting watersheds to training women in organic farming, our unique activist-advised grants put resources where they're needed most: on the frontlines of social justice and environmental sustainability.

And we couldn't have done it without you. Without your support, hundreds of communities would not have the seed funding they urgently need to address our planet's most pressing problems. Without your support, we could not help defend the basic rights and precious lands of so many in need. Thank you for being a part of the movement.
