The strongest conservation solutions are already being built across movements and communities.
Join ClimateWorks Foundation and Global Greengrants Fund for an interactive New York Climate Week conversation moderated by Mongabay, which will explore how locally led, rights-based, and intersectional approaches are strengthening conservation, biodiversity, and social outcomes together. Through practical examples from across diverse ecosystems and regions, movement leaders and funders will examine how philanthropy can better connect climate and conservation strategies, invest in locally rooted leadership, and support more durable, equitable outcomes.
Rather than a traditional panel, this facilitated dialogue will create space for candid exchange on the practical challenges and opportunities of shifting power, funding community-led solutions, and building conservation approaches that integrate ecological goals with rights, equity, and movement power.
