Update: China Earthquake Support

GreenSOS, a long time Greengrants grantee in China, outlines their recent work to provide support to communities affected by the Earthquake in China.

Please note: this project was not directly funded by Greengrants.

From 18 July to 5 August, GreenSOS organized 25 volunteers from several universities in Sichuan province to set off to four project sides located at Pingwu, Qingchuan, Mianzhu, and Pengzhou for 17 days rebuilding work. They did the environmental education and indoor visit in the village and helped the villagers with transporting relief goods, which establish a good relationship between local people and volunteers. After we gathering all the information from each side, room now on, we plan to start some long-term projects in each project sides and keep on working for the rebuilding…………..The longer we persist, the better life they may have . . .
