As a member of the Board of Directors for an active environmental group in my hometown, I understand that much of this work cannot be done without the generous financial support of individuals and corporate sponsors. One of the missions of my business, Green Elements, is to give back to local and global communities. We donate a portion of sales to support organizations that work effectively to address and provide solutions for a number of pressing social and environmental issues.
Supporting Diverse Causes and Effective Individuals
Fresh water should not be luxury, and individuals should not be suffering and dying because they have no access to it. While searching for groups that work to bring fresh water to communities in Africa, I came upon Global Greengrants Fund. This is just one of many causes that are important to me, and as I explored the website, I realized Greengrants supports many more issues.
Through small grants to grassroots groups around the globe, Global Greengrants Fund effectively creates change at the local level, providing the opportunity for recipients to better their lives and the lives of their families while protecting the planet by pursuing sustainable jobs and businesses, and by creating healthy clean living conditions by bettering the environments in which they work and live. I am impressed and thankful that Global Greengrants Fund is able to connect with and provide support to so many effective activists and individuals. A review of projects already funded and those awaiting grants provides a glimpse at an amazingly diverse list of worthwhile endeavors. We are grateful for the opportunity to play a role in helping some of these projects move forward.

Green Elements originally began as a green design and eco-lifestyle store in northern New Jersey. The goal was, and continues to be, to educate people about making healthier choices for themselves and their families while considering the impact of those choices, not only on the planet, but on the people who depend on the same resources needed to produce the consumer products they chose to purchase. We offer goods that are safe and consider elements including ethical and fair trade environments. We realize we must make every effort to change our course to protect ourselves, the global village, and the earth for future generations. As consumers, we have the power to create change through choice, and to support worthy causes by mindfully choosing how and where we spend our money.
